Residents of Glade Spring live in quiet
neighborhoods of small homes and cottages, winding roads, tall trees,
large gardens and many children. On warm summer nights, families
frequently sit outside on their porches, talking with neighbors
or appreciating the relief from hot days. They enjoy this old Southern
town, which offers a sense of place, security, freedom and timelessness.
Through the continued efforts of the Town Square Inc., a group
of community volunteers, Glade Spring residents have organized
a variety of groups to help provide for their security, including
a Neighborhood Watch organization, and their sense of community,
including numerous events held throughout the year in the community’s
parks and in the Town Square.
