 Business entrepreneurs are increasingly
discovering the value of investing in Glade Spring. In just the
last few years, numerous businesses have located in the community,
particularly in the area just south of the town near Interstate
81. Along with the new businesses has come a shiny make-over to
this gateway to Glade Spring that has added to the interest among
investors in downtown business development and the real estate market.
After a few decades of decline in the downtown business area, new investment has heightened
enthusiasm for a renewal of downtown business activity. City leaders
are optimistic that the town will soon receive community development
block grants to help renovate Town Square and are encouraged by
recent interest in the untapped potential of the Glade Spring
